Your domain name is the name of your website address (Ex. www.yourname.com). Think of what you want this to be. Make sure it fits with what you are doing. Try to keep it short and catchy. No more than a few words. You want people to be able to remember it and type it in easily.

Hosting involves the process of housing and maintaining your website on a web server which is set up to allow your website to be seen on the internet.

Here are the instructions to setting up your domain name and hosting with Host Gator...

1. Go to the Host Gator website by clicking here.

2. Click on the"Web Hosting" link in the top menu bar. Then click on the "Order Now" button for one of the "Plans" and follow the process. It should guide you as to what to do. If asked, make sure you select "Linux Hosting", NOT "Windows Hosting" (VERY Important). As to which package to select, the majority of Salted Website buyers only need the basic ("Hatchling") package UNLESS you would like to have multiple domain names pointing to your website.
