Q1: What is Salted Websites and what do you offer?

A: Salted Websites was created by leppdesign to offer Christian Organizations, Businesses, and Churches who cannot afford a custom designed website an opportunity to obtain a website at a more affordable price.

Q2: How do you sell websites so cheap?

A: The websites sold on here are ones that we already specifically created to be used as "ready-made" websites. This means we do not have to build a website from scratch for you. We only need to make slight modifications (logo, photos, color, etc.) on these websites. This saves us time and money.

Q3: How can I get a website "built from scratch"?

A: You can visit leppdesign at www.leppdesign.com and receive a free quote for your website.

Q4: Do you just sell template files or do you actually edit and place the website on the internet for us?

A: We do all the work for you. All that is needed from you is your logo, picture, and information(page names, etc.) that you want on your website. We then add them to the design that you have chosen and upload it to the web. You then simply add your own text on the web pages. This is done right there on your new website. You do not need any software or any knowledge in html to do this. It's as simple as writing an email.

Q5: Why do you market yourself as a Christian business?

A: If we want one thing known about us, it is our passion for God. We love our Savior. We love the sacrifice He paid for us on the cross, and because of that, we want to provide the Christian community with web design used to glorify God. Whether we do that through promoting the Gospel by creating a website for a church, or through serving THE church by creating a website to help a small Christian business grow, we want to always keep one thing in the center... Jesus Christ.

A: Yes. You can view it here.

Q7: How long does it take to get my website on the internet after I purchased it?

A: Usually you should be able to have your new website on the internet in less than one week after purchasing. This will be dependent though on how quick you respond to any content we need from you for the completion of the website (photos, menu names, logos, etc.) Any delay on your part to provide us with this content or with answers to questions we ask you will obviously delay the launching of your website. You will also need to purchase your domain name and hosting before we can upload your website to the internet. We will guide you through this.

Q8: What is a domain name and/or hosting?

A: A domain name is the web address that you want your website to have. Ex. www.yourdomainname.com. You must purchase this to have a website. Hosting involves a server/computer which "hosts" your website files so that they can be viewed on the internet. This too must be purchased prior to creating your website. These can most often be purchased together from the same company. Both combined will usually cost less than $10/month depending on your website needs.

Q9: Do you sell domain names or offer hosting?

A: No. But we help you purchase them if you need them. If you do not have a domain name or hosting at the time of your purchase, then we will give you instructions on how to quickly and easily obtain your domain name and hosting.

Q10: Will I be able to communicate with a "live person" during the production of my new website?

A: Yes. We will receive a form/email during your purchase indicating the web design that you have selected for your website. A "live person" will then contact you via email with questions and instructions in order to get the production of your new website going as soon as possible. They will be there to help you with any questions or concerns that you may have.

Q11: Will we be able to have an email with our new website domain name (Ex. you@yourwebsite.com)?

A: Yes. Definitely. During the setup process, we'll set an email up for you and instruct you on how to quickly and easily check your email as well as setup any additional emails you would like.

Q12: Will I be able to edit the text myself on my new website?

A: Yes. You will be able to quickly and simply edit your text right there on the website. You don't need any software or any knowledge in html to do this. It's as simple as writing an email.

Q13: What will I be able to edit myself on my new website?

A: You will be able to edit all text yourself in your content areas. This is basically all the text on your website except for any text found in menu buttons, images, animations, or logos. We edit this text for you during the creation of your website.

Q14: If I don't want to edit anything myself, can I have you do it for me?

A: Yes. You can have us add the text for you if you desire. Any content that is deemed "extensive" will have to be charged an extra fee though. Also, any future text edits will be charged a fee for each edit. The fee for that is $60/hour and will cover any text edits you want on your website.

Q15: Will I be able to have the photo changed in the web design I choose?

A: Yes. When you purchase a design, you will be given the option of changing the photo that comes with that design. We will send you a link to a stock photography website where you will be able to choose which photo you would like on your website and then send it to us. You will also have the option of submitting your own photo to us if you like. We will then add it to your website. If you would later like to change the photo again, we can do that as well for a fee of $25 per photo.

Q16: Will I be able to have my logo on my website?

A: Absolutely. We will ask you to provide us with your logo so that we can place it on your new website.

Q17: What if I don't have a logo?

A: We can either put your organization's name on the website, or you can have us create a logo for you. There will be a fee for this service. The price will depend upon what you are looking for in a logo.

Q18: Will I be able to have the menu buttons changed on my website?

A: Yes. You will be asked what you would like your pages on your website to be named. These will be the same names on the menu buttons. If you would later like to change the names of the pages, we can do so for a fee dependent on the amount of pages you would like changed.

Q19: Will I be able to add pages to my website later?

A: Yes. Pages can be added to your website at a fee of $60/page.

Q20: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We accept payment by check, credit card or paypal. Whichever you desire.

Q21: Are there any monthly fees?

A: No, not besides the normal fees to your hosting company. Since you have the ability to edit the text on your website yourself, there is no monthly fee paid to us. You will, however, have the normal monthly or yearly fee with the hosting company for your domain name and hosting. We will help you set this up, but the fee is paid directly to them. The average fee for domain name and hosting is less than $10/month.
